Before any item is posted to our website it is checked, (then checked again) and scrutinized by our in-house brand experts who authenticate the items. Each item also undergoes brand specific tests that are conducted under the skill of our experts. If we are unsure about an item, we will never stock it. If you believe an item is inauthentic, please contact us with your order number and we will get in touch as soon as we can.

In many cases, yes! However, we cannot guarantee it. Whenever possible, we will provide you with original boxes, dust bags etc. If your item comes with any of the original packaging, it will be stated in the items description on our website. Please read your item description carefully.

Buyers research and consider the retail value of each item individually, taking into account the condition of the item, popularity and/or rarity, the accompanying material (for example: dust bags, original receipts) as well as evaluating current fashion trends.

At COCKROACH VINTAGE, we take pride in being transparent about the condition of our pre-loved pieces. Every item is carefully inspected and assigned a grade to help you shop with confidence. Here’s how our grading system works:

Grade A – Excellent
Virtually pristine condition. These items show minimal or no visible signs of wear. Perfect for collectors or those seeking a near-new vintage piece.

Grade B – Very Good
Gently used with only minor, non-obvious wear. Still beautifully maintained and ready to wear, with small signs of previous love that are barely noticeable.

Grade C – Good
These pieces show more noticeable wear or minor flaws (such as faint marks or light scuffs) but are still perfectly wearable and presentable. A great choice if you appreciate authentic vintage character.

Grade D – Fair
Significant wear or obvious defects are present, but these items still carry undeniable vintage charm. Ideal for those who love well-worn, lived-in pieces or want a bargain – their condition is clearly reflected in the price.

Within the UK:
All orders are shipped via Royal Mail Tracked 48, which usually arrives within 2–3 working days. This service includes tracking updates for peace of mind. You can learn more about it here.

Europe & International:
We ship to Europe and worldwide using Royal Mail International Insured services. Shipping costs vary depending on your location and the size or value of the item, so please contact us before placing your order for a tailored quote.

Please note: If an item is shipped outside of the UK then the buyer is responsible for any and all customs fees and/or duties.

Insurance & responsibility:
All shipments are sent insured. However, please note that while we take great care in securely packaging your items, once your parcel is handed over to Royal Mail, it is beyond our direct control. We are not affiliated with Royal Mail and cannot guarantee delivery.

What if my item arrives damaged or defective?
If your order arrives damaged, please email us within 48 hours of delivery with the following:

a.) Clear photos of the damage to the item and packaging

b.) A copy of your tracking details

c.) Your order number

We’ll investigate and, if necessary, file a claim with Royal Mail on your behalf. If we’re unable to resolve the issue through the courier or issue a direct refund, we’ll work with you to offer a fair solution, which may include an exchange (if available) or store credit.

Yes – as best as we can. Before any item is photographed and stocked to our inventory, it is cleaned with approved methods to revive the item as best as we can.

COCKROACH, however, is not responsible for any professional cleaning of an item. Although certain pre-owned flaws can never be removed, we do condition the item for its new owner and have it looking as new as possible.

Professional vacuuming of all pockets, slots and compartments is conducted on all handbags, purses etc. All Hardware is wiped down with our special polishing cloths. We do not attempt to clean items from stains or other more significant signs of wear and tear, but we will always fully disclose all of this information in the items’ descriptions.

Small repairs may be conducted such as heel and soul repairs on shoes.
